In 2009 a Women in Politics auction at the CSG-WEST annual meeting raised enough money to fund two tuition scholarships to the 2010 Women’s Campaign School at Yale University for women who apply to the school and are accepted. The Women’s Campaign School takes place July 13-17 in New Haven, Connecticut.  Women with a serious commitment to elected public service from the states of Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, Washington and Wyoming are eligible to apply. One tuition scholarship will be awarded to a Republican and one to a Democrat.

The Women’s Campaign School will choose scholarship winners.  Applications are open from March 1-May 1.  Click on www.wcsyale.org for an application, general information about the program as well as scholarships and then click on register on-line to begin the application process. Please note on your application that you wish to be considered for a CSG-WEST “Western Women’s Tuition scholarship.”  The scholarship applies to tuition only, and recipients must pay for their own transportation and lodging.

Note that while most Yale tuition scholarships are partial, the 2010 Western Women’s tuition scholarship is for the full amount of tuition.
