Program Purpose
The border region presents an array of governing complexities ranging from term limits to regional policy issues. To cultivate leadership in the border region, the Border Legislative Academy (BLA) offers a one-and-a-half-day program focused on professional development. By bringing together legislators from the U.S. and Mexico border states, the program facilitates cooperative learning and the exchange of ideas to strength leadership and legislative institutions. |
Program Goals
Connect key border stakeholders and legislative institutions; Strengthen the understanding of the U.S. – Mexico relationship; and Support border state legislators in becoming more effective leaders
|
Who Attends?
