Guest Program

Big Sky offers a variety of opportunities to explore the Montana experience and the host state staff is excited to offer the scheduled outings below to attending guests. Registration to participate will be available on-site at the host state welcome desk near the meeting registration.


Wednesday, July 17th


Concluding at a height of 11,166 feet, the Lone Peak Expedition offers participants an opportunity to enjoy spectacular views during the tram ride and from the summit viewing station. Rumor has it that a clear day allows for views of three states, two national parks, and beautiful mountain ranges.


Thursday, July 18th


Located near Gallatin Gateway, the Ousel Falls Park Trail is a perfect opportunity to for hands on exploration of the state's natural beauty. The trail provides a walking journey across bridges and through stunning scenery before arriving at a lovely waterfall.


Friday, July 19th


Guests are invited to take a day away from Big Sky and Discover Bozeman on this scheduled day trip! The first stop on the day's adventures includes a visit to the Museum of the Rockies. A world-renowned museum with an abundance of history and science exhibits, it is most famous for its comprehensive collection of dinosaur fossils. After exploring the museum, guests will enjoy free time to explore Bozeman and it's array of shopping, dining and activities.

Youth Program

Providing young attendees an opportunity to explore and have fun, the host committee will offer several scheduled activities as part of their youth program. All activities will take place at the Big Sky Resort and registration can be completed on-site at the host states welcome desk near the meeting registration. Activities will take place on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday including the adventures highlighted below.


Active adventures include a morning at Basecamp with an unlimited pass for fun. Activities include mini golf, rock wall climbing, and other outdoor options.


Hiking adventures will take participants on a guided exploration to learn about the great outdoors. Indoor activities will be provided for non-hiking hours of activities.


Crafting adventures offer kids a chance to tap into their creative side with a variety of art and craft activities.


To balance outdoor fun each day, a variety of indoor activities will be provided. Available options will include ping-pong, wii, board games, and family friendly movies.


Please Note: The program is available to children up to age 15 who are registered as program attendees. Children age 6 or younger are welcome to participate but must always be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.










Program activities are subject to change based on final guest and youth registration. In the event that changes are made after you have registered to particiapte, CSG West staff will contact you directly to reconfirm your participation.
